Hôtel de la Cité, Carcassonne
Medieval Frescoe Junior Suite and Castle Suite
Within the ancient walled citadel of Carcassonne, the Medieval Frescoe Suite and the Castle Suite are the hotel's two most original suites.
The Frescoe Suite's medieval frescoe was painted by local artist Pringuet, who used local residents as models. To this day some families recognise their ancestors in the painting. The Castle Suite features a wonderful terrace of over 800 square feet, where one can relax in a Marahajah bed in the shade of an old olive tree.

Four Luxury Suites
Four luxury suites occupy the slopes surrounding this fine hotel admidst a magnificent setting of hight mountains, a village and the vast Mediterranean. Three have their own private pool while the fourth has a plunge pool. Each has its own sun patio and shaded area. It was at Reid's Palace that Sir Winston Churchill sat recording his memoirs, and it is in this suite that his memorabilia line the halls and bedroom walls in honour of his memory.
The suite is lavishly adorned with Chinese wallpaper and fine embroidered silk curtains. From the terrace, the view accross the Atlantic can only be described as inspiring.
